Reduction Through Automation
Our award winning JDF digital workflow greatly reduces material waste normally associated with the printing process by automating the make ready process of printing and finishing machines.

Reduction Through Filtration
We have invested heavily in filtration systems that prolong the life of the various chemistry required in the printing process. These systems extend the life of press chemistry from weeks to years greatly reducing chemistry consumption and the frequency and cost of chemistry disposal.

Reduction Through Recycling
Ampersand employs extensive material recycling programs. The minimal waste paper required for machine make ready is kept and re-used in place of fresh paper further reducing setup waste. All waste paper is collected and sent out for recycling.

Reduction Through Process Control
By investing in the latest machinery and employing meticulous maintenance programs we are able to reduce waste and hazardous chemicals required in the printing process.

To this day many printers use alcohol in the printing process as it hides problems by acting like a band-aid at the expense of the environment. By investing the time and money in the maintenance of our equipment, we have eliminated the use of alcohol at Ampersand.
